The Practice
Hunters Hill Medical Practice has been located in Hunters Hill continuously since the late 1800s. It is thought to be the second oldest general practice in Sydney after the Fort Street practice. Some of our elderly patients were delivered in their homes in the early 1900s. Some recall having their tonsils removed on the kitchen table with the local doctor providing both the anaesthetic and performing the surgery. The current doctors happily do house calls, but not surgery or home births.
We aim to provide a traditional, reliable family medical service. Our doctors are highly qualified and committed to continuing medical education. They work as a team to provide a high standard of medical care. We are committed to an ethical code of practice, including the confidentiality of all patient consultations and records. Our practice has an emphasis on preventative medicine. Please inform the receptionist if you wish to have a full check-up so that a longer appointment may be booked. Vaccinations for children and overseas travel are available every day.
